Jarrod Bowen raves about West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice

Jarrod Bowen has showered praise on West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, saying he has matured as a player.

Bowen recalls that Rice has always been a “quality” player since the first day he saw him in training.

Both Rice and Bowen have enjoyed a phenomenal campaign this season, with the latter arguably enjoying a rich vein of form.

“Declan Rice, all season, has gone up another level in terms of maturity as a player,” said Bowen to Whufc.

“He’s a credit to himself. I’ve only been here two years but from the first day I saw him, the quality was there, and I think he’s just gone from strength to strength. It’s lovely to play with him.”

Rice has been outstanding for the club this season, and he is attracting interest from several top Premier League clubs.

The Hammers are pretty relaxed about his situation. In case he leaves, the London outfit are expected to demand a massive transfer fee for him.

Bowen, on the other hand, has exceeded all expectations. He has scored 16 goals this season and provided nine assists in all competitions.

The 25-year-old has been an epitome of consistency for the club, and it’s fair to say his contributions have kept the club still fighting for a trophy this season.

The Hammers will face Frankfurt in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final clash on Thursday.

West Ham are trailing 2-1 from the first leg, but they are hopeful of producing a top-level performance away from home.

Both Rice and Bowen will have to play a big role tonight. It’s going to be difficult, but certainly not impossible.
