Jarrod Bowen must ‘keep scoring goals’ as West Ham United ace in England ‘waiting game’

West Ham ace Jarrod Bowen “must keep scoring goals” if he wants to earn himself a spot in England’s Euro 2024 squad, according to 90min journalist Toby Cudworth.

The winger was included in Gareth Southgate’s most recent Three Lions squad for the current international break, but returned home early due to injury.

England have qualified for next summer’s tournament, finishing Group C qualifying unbeaten with six wins and two draws.

Falling into the “waiting game category,” Cudworth wrote for 90min that: “Jarrod Bowen, who earned a call-up for the November qualifiers after his red-hot start to the 2023/24 campaign, must keep scoring goals to make himself an indispensable third option on the right.”

Must have?

England boss Southgate will definitely have a massive headache when the time comes around when he must pick his Euro 2024 squad.

There will be several players trying to impress the boss in the coming months in order to get on the plane for next summer’s highly-anticipated tournament.

As always, England are in with a chance of winning the competition thanks to their talented squad, but Southgate will need exactly the right players in order to lift the prestigious trophy.

Bowen is clearly in the manager’s thoughts right now, but that is merely as a squad player, with Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka seemingly above the Hammers man in the pecking order.

Frustratingly, the London Stadium star may also have to compete with the likes of Manchester City duo Phil Foden and Jack Grealish, Chelsea youngster Cole Palmer and Manchester United man Marcus Rashford, among others.

If Bowen can continue his superb run of form in the coming months, the Hammers attacker will be very hard to ignore next summer.

In other West Ham news, a report has shared how Hammers insiders feel about a European ace, with a January transfer on the cards.
