Jarrod Bowen injury update shared ahead of West Ham United v Nottingham Forest

West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen should be fit to face Nottingham Forest in the “crucial” Premier League game on Saturday (25 February) at the London Stadium.

Bowen was involved in a collision in the last game and picked up a “heavy knock”. It was feared that he could be struggling to get fit against Forest, but a key source has told Claret and Hugh that Bowen looks fine.

This is a crucial game for the Hammers who are heading into this fixture on the back of a three-match winless run, including a 2-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur last week.

“It was a heavy knock and given our position right now quite worrying but thankfully all looks ok and we expect Jarrod to make the match which is obviously a crucial game for us,” a key source told Claret and Hugh.

Boost

The next game is absolutely vital for West Ham, and David Moyes’ job is also depending on it.

While the Hammers board are not looking to panic at the moment with 15 games left to play, another poor result at home would put them in a difficult situation.

The Hammers spent a lot of money in the summer on new players and backed their manager during the winter transfer window as well, despite poor results. There have been signs of progress in recent games but the defeat against Spurs now gives a different reading.

West Ham

Bowen has not been in the best of form this season. The 26-year-old attacking midfielder has managed just four goals and an assist in 23 league games this season.

We all know what he is capable of, but it’s clear that he has suffered a genuine dip in form. He is still an important player for the club, and let’s hope he will be fit for the next game.
