West Ham star Bowen compared to Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka amid ‘Terrific’ verdict
Tony Cascarino has hailed West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen as “terrific” and has even compared his form to that of Bukayo Saka after what he’s seen him do this season.
The Hammers succumbed to a massive 5-2 defeat to the Gunners in the Premier League at the London Stadium on 30 November and find themselves stuck in 14th in the top-flight table.
Speaking live on talkSPORT (1 December, 06:14am), Cascarino shared his thoughts on the performances of the Bowen this season.
“I mean they’ve [West Ham] got some really good things,” Cascarino said. “I think [Jarrod] Bowen is a terrific player, he’s very much like [Bukayo] Saka, tenacious, not as good but still a very very good player.
“I think [Crysencio] Summerville came in and improved, I think there’s a lot in there with him.”
Jarrod Bowen has been the standout player for West Ham this season
While Bowen’s form may not have been up to the best of standards recently, he’s still by far and away been one of, if not the best players at the London Stadium this season.
The Hammers have had a fair few disappointing outings this season, and it’s starting to get harder and harder to find ways to justify why David Sullivan is keeping the Spaniard in his role.
Of course, there have been times when the Hammers have shocked the footballing world and pulled off some stellar wins against teams such as Newcastle and Manchester United but those results have come too far and few between one another.

While the former Hull City striker’s recent form hasn’t been the best, there’s no denying that without him within their ranks this season, they’d be far worse off.
Only time will tell what the future holds for the Hammers and Lopetegui but one thing is for sure, they can’t take many more massive losses such as their one against the Gunners on Saturday (30 November).
