Jamie Redknapp: West Ham fans won’t thank me, Manchester United should sign Declan Rice
Jamie Redknapp has insisted that Manchester United should go all out to sign West Ham star Declan Rice this summer.
Erik Ten Hag was announced as their new boss on Thursday afternoon [21 April] as they plan yet another overhaul.
Redknapp admitted that Irons fans won’t thank him, but the Red Devils must go out to sign Rice when the window opens.

Speaking live on Sky Sports, as shared by Football Daily on Twitter, Redknapp singled out the main man.
“West Ham fans won’t thank me for it,” he said.
“You want good honest great pros who can really play, people like Declan Rice. That’s the market they’ve got to be looking for, that can work hard in training and play the right way.”
No chance.
You would be stupid to move to Manchester United at this moment in time.
The Red Devils are in capitulation status right now, and that defeat at Liverpool just highlighted how shocking things are on and off the pitch.
Rice is in the middle of a golden era for the Irons and is pushing them towards the Europa League final.
With a summer window packed with money spent, the Hammers are easily ahead of Manchester United at this moment in time.
Many will say that money talks though, and we just have to hope that our skipper has the integrity that many haven’t had in the past.
David Moyes will be going all out to keep Rice this summer, and his priority will be tying the enforcer to long term deal – he deserves it.
Redknapp knows that we won’t thank him, but we also know that Rice will be linked with every club with money this summer.
