Jamie O’Hara makes ‘massive’ new West Ham United admission live on talkSPORT

Jamie O’Hara believes it was a “massive” result for West Ham when they beat Manchester United on Saturday (23 December).

Speaking on talkSPORT on Saturday, the pundit told a Hammers fan about how he and Jason Cundy dug the players out after the 5-1 defeat to Liverpool on Wednesday (20 December) as he felt they showed a “lack of ambition”.

But he added that the 2-0 victory over the Red Devils made up for the Carabao Cup loss, with Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus getting on the scoresheet at the London Stadium.

“Massive result actually from West Ham and we dug you out in midweek me and Cundy because you were shocking in the Carabao Cup, showed a lack of ambition,” O’Hara told the West Ham fan.

“But you’d have to say, three points in the Premier League against Man United is worth it.”

Reaction

There was an awful lot of pressure on the West Ham players to provide a positive reaction against Man United following the disappointing defeat to Liverpool.

The Hammers fans expected their side to turn up and repay the faith the 6,000 fans that travelled to Anfield had shown in them.

Despite it not being the best performance, they did enough to get the three points and that’s all that really matters as they moved up to sixth in the Premier League table.

David Moyes will be delighted with the form Bowen and Kudus are currently showing as they once again proved to be a threat in the final third.

The Irons boss will be keen to see that partnership continue to flourish as he looks to help us finish as high up in the table as possible this season.

In other West Ham news, Ally McCoist was wowed by what one “brilliant” Hammers player did against Man United.
