Jamie O’Hara in one-word insult on air after Chelsea win v West Ham United
Jamie O’Hara has berated West Ham United and Chelsea for a “poor” game of Premier League football.
The Hammers suffered a 2-1 loss on Monday evening (3 February) in a clash riddled with controversy as several contentious decisions came into the limelight following the result.
However, ex-Tottenham man O’Hara slammed the Premier League pair live on talkSPORT (4 February, 10:07pm) for how the match panned out at a “soulless” Stamford Bridge.
He said: “It was a poor game. It was a bad game of football. A lack of quality.”
West Ham United poor again in the Premier League
Although West Ham are only five matches into the Graham Potter era, his start to life at the London Stadium has been far from convincing.
The loss on Monday marked his third defeat in that time, with a 3-2 win against Fulham on 14 January, wherein the hosts threatened to throw away an initial three-goal lead.
Sky Sports pundit Stephen Warnock (4 February) suggested Potter must prioritise results over football style and mooted ex-Irons boss David Moyes’ immediate influence in his second spell at Everton.
Unfortunately for Potter, the remains of Julen Lopetegui’s short-lived reign in East London means the aim for the rest of the season is merely damage limitation.

West Ham have a reasonably comfortable 10-point gap to the relegation zone but will indeed be pulled back into the conversation unless the results pick up at the London Stadium.
Nevertheless, Potter will hope James Ward-Prowse, who returned from his loan at Nottingham Forest, will provide a creative spark in midfield and supply Deadline Day loan signing Evan Ferguson.
The early positive signs are there for the Hammers, but it is imperative that the results follow.
