Jamie O’Hara chants for West Ham United after new Tottenham verdict emerges

Jamie O’Hara started a West Ham chant live on air after a Tottenham fan predicted a Hammers victory on Saturday (19 October).

The two London sides go head-to-head at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium following the international break, with Spurs winning just one of the last three meetings.

While Ange Postecoglou’s men come into the match off the back of a disappointing 3-2 comeback defeat to Brighton, the Hammers took all three points off Ipswich Town in a 4-1 win.

Ringing into talkSPORT on Tuesday (8 October, 10:11pm), Spurs fan, Gareth said: “They’re terrible. We’re going to get done by West Ham because they always become massive when they play Spurs.”

Giggling away to himself, O’Hara replied: “They do, don’t they? Irons…”

West Ham United to beat Tottenham after the international break?

Recent history would suggest Julen Lopetegui’s men might be able to claim a victory against a shell-shocked Spurs side, who threw away a two-goal lead in their last game.

The Irons have claimed four points from the last two matches against Spurs, winning 2-1 and drawing 1-1 during the 2023/24 Premier League campaign.

Weirdly, of the three goalscorers for the Hammers in those two games, only one of them remains at the London Stadium – Jarrod Bowen – with James Ward-Prowse and Kurt Zouma departing during the summer.

Lopetegui will certainly be hoping for his side to continue their form from the brilliant 4-1 win over Ipswich, and the attacking threat of Bowen, Mohammed Kudus and Michail Antonio should work against Spurs’ high backline.

It will be an interesting match-up between the two sides once the international break ends, but until then, Lopetegui just needs his key players to return from their national teams unharmed.
