Jamie O’Hara and Jason Cundy stunned by what Arsenal fan said about West Ham
Jamie O’Hara and Jason Cundy were left baffled on talkSPORT after what an Arsenal fan rang in and said about their game against West Ham.
The Hammers travelled to the Emirates on Saturday (22 February) and came away with all three points in a huge 1-0 win for Graham Potter.
It was a Jarrod Bowen goal that made the difference, as he got the winner after great work from Aaron Wan-Bissaka down the right.

O’Hara and Cundy stunned as Arsenal fan says he backed West Ham
Graham Potter hasn’t had the easiest start to life at West Ham and before Saturday, had won just one of his five league games in charge.
With that in mind, going into a clash against Arsenal away from home was always going to raise some worries in the East London camp.
Admittedly, their opponents haven’t had the easiest season either and without a recognised striker in their team, the Irons were surely going to have a slightly easier task.
However going to win, without momentum against a side second in the table, is a tall order.
Nevertheless, an Arsenal fan rang into talkSPORT (24 February, 22:22) and admitted that he backed the result to pan out the way it did, saying: “I expected the weekend’s result to be as it is. I expected us to lose against West Ham and I expected Bowen actually to get the goal.”
O’Hara was left baffled, saying: “Did you? I feel like that’s a very hard thing to believe” before Cundy jumped in: “I don’t know Tony, I don’t know matey.”

West Ham need to build on momentum from Arsenal win
You can understand why O’Hara and Cundy might be surprised that an Arsenal fan didn’t expect them to win the game but the supporter wasn’t the only one preparing for this outcome with Gabby Agbonlahor backing West Ham before the game too.
The Hammers don’t historically have the best record against their North London opponents though, hence why some may not have voted in their favour.
However, while Arsenal do have quality in their side, they have faced a lot of tough injuries this term and West Ham put in a professional display to secure the victory.

West Ham v Arsenal, November 2024 | 3-1 |
It was a great victory for the Irons but the game has been played now and the East London outfit must move on and prepare for their next one.
The victory will no doubt have been a great boost for Potter and he will want his side to build upon their win and ease some of the pressure at The London Stadium.
A game against Leicester City is up next which will surely be a match that the Hammers expect to win which would suddenly make things look a lot brighter in East London.
