Issa Diop training alone in West Ham pre-season camp

West Ham United defender Issa Diop has been forced to train alone on an individual regime this week in Scotland.

The Irons have travelled north of the border for their pre-season training camp, with many of our international faces missing.

Pictures were released this week, and it showed the French enforcer working individually as training got underway.

Claret and Hugh have shared the major update on their website this week, as the squad starts preparation for a huge year.

David Moyes will want the Irons ready for anything, as the Europa League campaign joins the Premier League after last year’s heroics.

Another one training alone was Arthur Masuaku.

This is more understandable, especially given that the African defender was missing for the majority of last season with a big injury.

Hopefully, both of the defenders will be returning at their best level after these individual sessions during pre-season.

West Ham

All eyes on.

Moyes will reveal a lot about the fitness of both of these players this afternoon when we entertain Dundee United in our first friendly.

The Irons will surely field a lot of their younger players, with some blends of experience in the middle of those, including the likes of Mark Noble.

It would be a great run-out opportunity for the likes of Masuaku, who will have struggled mentally with their injuries last season.

Diop isn’t meant to be injured, but should he miss the clash, there will be question marks surrounding his fitness.

The Irons are finally getting into the swing of things now, and we can’t wait to see them back in action once again today – we’ve certainly missed them.
