Inter Milan make £21.3m Valentin Carboni demand as West Ham United eye late January transfer
Inter Milan are willing to listen to offers of around £21.3million for Valentin Carboni amid transfer interest from West Ham United, according to FC Inter News.
The Italian outlet reported on its website on Monday (29 January) that the Italian giants believe the young forward to be worth around £21.3million [€25million], a figure which none of the interested parties have yet been willing to pay this month.
David Moyes’ side are understood to be stuck at £12.8million [€15million], while their Premier League rivals Brentford are unwilling to pay upwards of £15.3million [€18million], with Fiorentina yet to submit a concrete proposal for his services.
With no side yet willing to meet Inter’s asking price, the young forward appears set to complete the remainder of the season on loan with Monza.
A big fee
So far, West Ham have not even come close to matching Inter’s asking price and seems unlikely that they would be willing to pay nearly an extra £10million to secure Carboni during the January transfer window.
The 18-year-old is highly regarded and has performed reasonably well during his loan spell with Monza this season, but it seems unlikely that the Hammers would be willing to pay such a large fee for a player with less than 30 senior professional appearances.

Moyes could do with at least one new forward option between now and the end of the January window, as the current options at his disposal are far from prolific, but it feels unlikely that Carboni will be the man to arrive at the London Stadium.
Maybe there could be a late twist in the tale during the final knocking of the January transfer window, but at the moment this seems like a deal that may not have too many legs in it.
