Injury expert shares West Ham United update ahead of Europa Conference League clash v Gent
David Moyes has just one West Ham United player ruled out of his squad for the upcoming Europa Conference League clash against Gent at the London Stadium (20 April), according to injury expert Ben Dinnery.
The Hammers picked up a huge point in their fight against relegation on Sunday (16 April), coming from two goals behind to claim a well-deserved draw against league leaders Arsenal at the London Stadium.
Writing for the Premier Injuries website, Dinnery shared that Gianluca Scamcca was ruled out of the quarter-final second leg with a knee injury that will keep the striker sidelined until early June.

Moroccan centre-back Nayef Aguerd stands a 50% chance of playing on his return from a groin issue, with Dinnery labelling a potential return date of 20 April.
Angelo Ogbonna, who was absent from the matchday squad that claimed a 2-2 draw against Arsenal on Sunday (16 April), is currently being assessed and stands a 50% possibility of featuring in the second leg of the tie that currently stands at 1-1.

Positive signs
The West Ham team that showed against the Gunners after the opening 15 blitz was something rarely seen this season and a performance that will send waves of positivity around the club.
After falling two goals behind early doors, most within the stadium would already have had their minds on damage limitation.
However, the Hammers were simply superb in fighting their way back into the game and were probably unfortunate not to take all three points.
In attack, Scamacca’s absence through injury wasn’t felt at all, with Michail Antonio back to his bulldozing best and Jarrod Bowen causing Kieran Tierney all kinds of issues down the right flank.
Ahead of the relegation showdown against Bournemouth, it is a positive sign to see so few injuries within the squad.
Moyes will have to shuffle his troops for the midweek encounter against Gent in the Europa Conference League, but if Aguerd and Ogbonna return from fitness, he should have enough depth to survive this packed schedule.
