Injury Expert shares West Ham United team news ahead of Premier League clash v Newcastle
West Ham United manager David Moyes has just one injury concern for the club’s upcoming Premier League match against Newcastle on Wednesday (5 April), according to injury expert Ben Dinnery.
The Hammers climbed out of the relegation zone and up to 14th in the table after their 1-0 victory against the Saints on Sunday (2 April), with Nayef Aguerd’s first-half header the decisive moment of the match.
Writing for the Premier Injuries website, Dinnery shared that Italian forward Gianluca Scamacca had a 50% status of featuring for the clash at the London Stadium and a potential return date of 8 April.

The 24-year-old was pictured leaving the London Stadium before the win over Southampton and Dinnery has reported that the reason for his absence is a knee injury which is currently being assessed by the club.

Boost
The lack of injuries at such a crucial point of the season is a major boost for Moyes right now.
The Hammers are in the midst of a three-game week, which is followed by consecutive weeks of European and domestic commitments on Thursdays and Sundays.
Such a crazy schedule could ultimately be the undoing of West Ham’s Premier League chances this season if injuries were to hit key players.
The likes of Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd and Lucas Paqueta have all had their injury concerns this season, and it was no coincidence that the Hammers claimed all three points on Sunday with an almost fully-fit squad.
The Magpies will be in a buoyant mood themselves after toppling Manchester United 2-0 on Sunday (2 April), and West Ham will have to be at their very best to get anything out of the game.
It will be no easy task, but the lack of injury concerns is certainly a strong starting point for Moyes and his men.
