Injury expert shares Manchester City update ahead of Premier League clash v West Ham United
Manchester City will be without two first-team players for their Premier League clash against West Ham United on Wednesday, according to injury expert, Ben Dinnery.
Kevin De Bruyne missed City’s 2-1 win over Fulham with a knock and Dinnery doesn’t expect the midfielder to return against David Moyes’ men (Premier injuries).
It’s a similar story for Nathan Ake, with the Dutch defender also “ruled out” against the Hammers after picking up a thigh injury.

Apart from Ake and De Bruyne, Guardiola has a fully fit squad to choose from on Wednesday evening (3 May).
Daunting
Travelling to the Etihad is certainly a daunting task. It’s even more daunting when Pep Guardiola’s side are chasing down a famous treble. They’re starting to hit top form at the perfect time, with their recent demolition of Arsenal demonstrating the current levels they are operating at.
Realistically, this is a free hit for the Hammers. City still have to play Leeds and Everton, which means they probably won’t lose ground in their battle to beat the drop. The loss to Crystal Palace was disappointing. It felt as if West Ham had turned a corner after their performances against Bournemouth, Gent and Arsenal.

Now, with City to come, they could be facing consecutive losses in the face. That’s been a constant issue throughout the 2022/23 season. Inconsistency in results has seen the Hammers flirt with the relegation zone for most of the campaign. Regardless of who is in charge next year, West Ham simply have to start putting runs of wins together.
