Ian Wright thrilled by Jarrod Bowen’s hard work at West Ham
West Ham blew Aston Villa away at the weekend, securing a 4-1 win in the Midlands to solidify their fourth position in the Premier League table.
Ex-Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder singled out Jarrod Bowen for praise on Match of the Day 2, waxing lyrical over how the attacker consistently sprinted back to stop any counter-attacks from the hosts.
Ian Wright has also been blown away by the hard work the West Ham ace puts in every game, showering accolades on him in the latest episode of Wrighty’s House.
The Arsenal legend said: “Jarrod Bowen. Chris Wilder did a piece on him in Match of the Day 2 about the work he puts in on that right-hand side. Jesus Christ!
“He got eight goals last season. If he can continue to get goals and play like that, we are talking about a sensational player. Jarrod Bowen.”

Bowen has scored twice and assisted two goals in 10 Premier League appearances this season, but that does not tell the whole story.
His work rate off the whole is incredible, and England manager Gareth Southgate could hand him a maiden call-up soon if he keeps impressing.
The English top-flight’s bigwigs are definitely monitoring his development after his links with Liverpool in the summer [The Independent], and West Ham will have to fight off suitors when they start approaching them to do business.
Bowen proved himself in the Championship with Hull City, scoring 52 league goals in two-and-a-half seasons before earning the move to West Ham.
He has weighed in with 11 goals and 11 assists in 52 top-flight games for the Hammers, but he needs to do more to force his way into the Three Lions’ star-studded attack.
Bowen has the potential to become an England international, and he could be representing his country at next summer’s World Cup if he ends 2021-22 on an outstanding note.
