‘I would go…’ – Carlos Tevez name drops West Ham when discussing future after Boca

Carlos Tevez has name-dropped West Ham United when discussing a possible return to Europe after his spell with Boca Juniors.

The Argentinian legend has claimed he could return to the Irons if he just wanted to earn applause for the remainder of his career.

Tevez’ spell at Upton Park was very controversial, to say the least, and he went on to feature for both Manchester clubs further down the line.

Tevez also claimed he could move to a Brazilian club before ruling out anything definitive that could harm a future switch.

“If I had to go back to Europe I would go to West Ham for six months to be applauded,” he told Radio La Red.

“Or spend six months at Corinthians. I won’t rule anything out because I don’t want to be a slave to my words.”

Many won’t remember all of the problems that Tevez brought to the Irons. It was 2006 when the little forward joined the club with Javier Mascherano from Corinthians.

Tevez helped the Irons stay in the Premier League, scoring that memorable goal at Old Trafford, sending Sheffield United into the Championship instead.

West Ham fell into trouble though and were fined £5.5million for breaking third-party ownership rules rather than a points deduction – lucky [The Guardian].

The little Argentinian did cause some trouble, but no doubt he earned legendary status in East London that season and he would be welcomed back with open arms, no doubts.
