Hull City leading the race to sign West Ham defender Harrison Ashby

Championship outfit Hull City are leading the race to sign West Ham youngster Harrison Ashby on the transfer deadline day.

According to ExWHUemployee, the Hammers have received several approaches for the exciting young talent.

However, the clubs are facing a race against time to land him before Monday’s 11 pm deadline.

Good move

The youngster is making rapid strides and has already made his senior appearances for the club this season.

The 20-year-old made his Premier League debut in December when he came off the bench to replace Pablo Fornals.

The exciting young talent also made his first-team debut against Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League dead rubber in December where he played the entire 90 minutes.

West Ham are well stocked in their full-back areas at the moment, and David Moyes can afford to send him out on loan.

He will get valuable experience while in the Championship, but offers for him have come very late in the window.

West Ham

West Ham, themselves, are focussing on bringing some players on the deadline day but so far they haven’t been able to strike a deal with any of their targets.

Signing a centre-back and a back-up striker is a top priority, and it remains to be seen if the Hammers can do some late business before the window closes.
