High level talks claim made as Gianluca Scamacca eyes West Ham United exit

There are “high level” talks scheduled for next week as Gianluca Scamacca wants to leave West Ham this summer, according to Claret and Hugh.

The news outlet [15 July] carried quotes from a source close to the Italy striker that state only loan offers have been made for the 24-year-old thus far.

The source cited in the article also claims that he wants to leave the club, despite only joining last summer.

The article read, “We were told tonight by a source close to the player that he is indeed keen to move on but as yet there have been no suitable offers.

“He explained: ‘There have been no offers of making a move permanent. At the moment only loans have been offered and that is not acceptable to West Ham’.”

No loan must be accepted

West Ham paid big money to sign Scamacca and they just cannot let another side use his services for a season on a meagre loan fee.

They themselves need a quality striker to lead the line and if he’s not happy, then he needs to understand the reality.

The Hammers can’t just let their best forward go without a transfer fee as they themselves need to bring in someone to lead the line.

Few quality strikers are available this summer and those that are will not be available on the cheap so funds are certainly going to be needed.

Hopefully, David Moyes can have a conversation with him and explain why he should give it another year in the Premier League.

Players often struggle to adapt to different leagues so it makes sense for him to have a bad year and next season should be better.

In other West Ham news, a super-rich club has launched an enquiry into a star player who could follow Declan Rice out of the door as his agent may engineer a transfer.
