Harry Maguire snubs West Ham United transfer amid David Moyes sack speculation in East London
Harry Maguire is unwilling to move to West Ham due to the growing speculation over David Moyes’ future at the London Stadium, according to ESPN.
The Telegraph reported (15 January) that the board are considering the Scot’s future at the club and that replacements are now being considered.
ESPN have since revealed (17 January) that the Hammers do hold an interest in Maguire however they face an uphill task if they want to land the 29-year-old.

It’s understood United are reluctant to let the defender leave the club and that Maguire is willing to fight for his starting place at Old Trafford.
It’s also believed Moyes’ future is also a factor with a change of manager potentially leading to a change in transfer targets.
Move on
It’s clear United and Maguire don’t want this move to materialise. United are still in four competitions and there’s a strong chance he will be needed between now and the end of the season. West Ham could well be in the market for a central defender, but a move for Maguire seems slightly unrealistic.
It feels as if this weekend’s clash against Everton will be the be-all and end-all for Moyes.

Frank Lampard is also under immense pressure at Goodison Park with Everton currently on a dismal run of form themselves. If West Ham do pick up three points against the Toffees then they must back Moyes in the remainder of the transfer window.
There is clearly a reluctance to back him at present, with there being a strong possibility of him being sacked after the game against the Toffees.
If he is relieved of his duties it’s absolutely essential a new boss is appointed quickly in order for new signings to be made before the window slams shut.
