Harrison Ashby destined to leave West Ham United despite missing out on deadline day
West Ham United defender Harrison Ashby is still destined to leave the London Stadium despite missing out in the summer window, according to Claret & Hugh.
The online source has reported on its website that the young defender will move on once his contract expires at the end of the 2022-23 season.
Newcastle pushed for his signature this summer but failed as West Ham could not find anyone to bring in themselves on deadline day in the past 24 hours.

It appears as though St James’ Park is still his most likely destination too.
The agent of Ashby also looks after Newcastle manager Eddie Howe in what could be a coincidence that fails to work out in our favour across the next year.
West Ham are ready to offer the defender a new contract at the London Stadium, but the chances of him currently accepting that appear to be very low.

Bittersweet.
David Moyes will no doubt be disappointed about this, but there is still a year for things to change.
It was brilliant to keep the young right-back at the club past the deadline on Thursday (01 September), and hopefully, we can show him a pathway that this is the place to be.
Ashby has been given game time mainly in cup competitions and in Europe over the past couple of seasons, but maybe it’s that Premier League exposure that he is wanting.
Whether compensation would be due should he leave at the end of his contract is irrelevant right now, but GSBK will be thinking of the next steps now along with Moyes.
West Ham United may be fighting the players’ agent, who can give Ashby direct contact with Howe no doubt, and that is something we don’t want to see.
Fingers crossed that everything can change in the next few months, but right now, it looks as though he is more than destined to leave the London Stadium.
