Hans Vanaken representatives hold constructive talks over exit on Monday as he looks to force West Ham United move

Hans Vanaken has reportedly held constructive talks over his Club Brugge exit on Monday as he appears keen on joining West Ham.

According to Nieuwsblad Sport journalist Pieter-Jan Calcoen, the Belgian club will sell the 29-year-old midfielder should they sign a replacement for him.

Brugge are understood to be co-operating with the player’s will which is to leave the club and move to the London Stadium.

Via Twitter, Calcoen wrote, “The Vanaken camp met yesterday with #ClubBrugge . Club again indicated that it would cooperate in a transfer to #WestHam if it first finds a replacement. The atmosphere is described as ‘constructive’.”

Snap him up

Vanaken may be 30 by the time he signs for West Ham, but he will still be a good signing who we see walking into the eleven.

Tomas Soucek has struggled over the course of the last 12-18 months and time away from the regular playing eleven could do him a world of good.

The club’s midfield has appeared to be static and things need to be freshened up by David Moyes with Flynn Downes also likely to be thrown into the mix.

The Irons have started the season horribly and for a change, Moyes cannot complain that he’s not been backed.

The club have spent nine figures this summer and are likely to shell out even more as Emerson has now completed his medical and another midfielder will follow him through the door soon.

We’re excited to see how the new signings will now fare in the eleven as they deserve their chance and it’s time Moyes throws them into the mix.
