Hans Vanaken emerges as top target for West Ham United
Belgian attacking midfielder Hans Vanaken has emerged as a “top target” for West Ham, as per ExWHUemployee.
The reliable Hammers source wrote on his Patreon on 15 August that the interest in the 29-year-old is “legitimate”, but the Hammers are also checking on other options.
The Hammers have reportedly tabled an opening bid of £8.4million to Club Brugge to sign their club skipper, but it was rejected immediately.

Worth it?
The Hammers are working on a lot of options at the moment, but they need to wrap up the deals.
They have been linked with a host of defenders and midfielders, and it doesn’t look like those are nearing any conclusion.
Bolstering the attacking department has become essential for the club after they offloaded Nikola Vlasic to Torino.
Having missed out on Jesse Lingard, and failing to win their opening two games, David Moyes is getting desperate to add depth to his squad.

Vanaken is an experienced player who has earned 21 caps for the Belgium national team. He has won five Belgian league titles and made over 340 appearances in his club career.
Clearly, he is a player with loads of experience, and someone who can be a good option for the club.
At the same time, he will be 30 soon. West Ham should be targeting players for the long-term, and Vanaken doesn’t look like it.
While he would be a decent signing for the club if he joins, it won’t be a big blow if they miss out on him.
