GSB to invest heavily with fear of David Moyes exit at West Ham United – Dean Jones
GSB are plotting heavy investment in the transfer window for West Ham United in the summer, according to Dean Jones.
The reliable journalist insists that fears surrounding a potential exit for David Moyes will see him rewarded with a big transfer kitty.
Jones admitted that qualifying for the Champions League would, of course, see that budget increase dramatically.

Speaking to GIVE ME SPORT this weekend [12 February], Jones dropped the exciting prediction for the summer.
“I think the unity that David Moyes has built within that squad has been unbelievable,” he said.
“The board do appreciate the turnaround he’s managed to put in place so they do want to repay him for that and obviously a certain part of them will be scared that they upset him, he gets the hump, and someone puts in an offer to take him away, but they don’t want him to leave any time soon.
“So, I think we will see big investment from West Ham in the summer, but the level of that will depend on whether they’re a Champions League team.”

Long overdue.
This will be seen as a major positive, but GSB can not take any credit if they do fork out the money this summer.
The opportunity has been there for it to happen in numerous windows now given our success under Moyes in recent years, but it has been wasted.
If we don’t qualify for the Champions League this season, that will be on them, with Moyes and the squad performing out of their skins on a weekly basis for the last two years now.
We don’t think Moyes will be going anywhere given his success at the London Stadium, he will want to see the job through to top-four in the Premier League and potentially bring home a piece of silverware.
It would take a silly offer, but you never know where that could come from in modern football, so let’s back him and invest heavily in transfers this summer, it’s needed.
