Graham Potter appointment: Red letter day to emerge at West Ham within weeks
Graham Potter will have a red letter day within a matter of weeks ahead of taking over at West Ham, Rob Dorsett has said.
The former Chelsea and Brighton manager is expected to be appointed as the new Irons manager after Julen Lopetegui was sacked on 8 January (Fabrizio Romano).
Lopetegui was given his marching orders despite taking training on Wednesday with Potter understood to be ready to sign a two-and-a-half-year deal at the London Stadium.
Sky Sports presenter, Dorsett said: “I’ve been looking at West Ham’s fixtures coming up, five of West Ham’s next six Premier League matches are London derbies.
“Guess what is in the middle of one of those, a return to Stamford Bridge, mark it in your diaries, February 3rd.
“If things go as we expect and Graham Potter is the West Ham manager in the next few hours, that will become a red letter day for every sports fan.”

The clash with the Blues will be a massive occasion for Potter, should he sign on the dotted line.
He was sacked by the West London club seven months into a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge and will be itching to get his revenge on his former employers in their home.
It was the first major setback in a remarkable rise to the top after impressive spells with Ostersund, Swansea City and Brighton.

The supposed role with the Irons will be his first return to management since that harsh sacking more than 18 months ago.
He turned down approaches from Ajax, AC Milan and other Premier League clubs before this as he did not feel like they were the right opportunities (Sky Sports).
It seems like he feels that the vacancy at the East London club is the right time to return to the dugout and he will now have a busy couple of days planning for January signings.
