Gianluca Scamacca to arrive in London on Tuesday to finalise West Ham move

Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca is set to arrive in London on Tuesday to finalise move to West Ham United, according to Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor.

The Hammers are in the market to sign an attacking player in the ongoing transfer window and earlier reports suggested that they are closing in on signing the 23-year-old.

Taylor, in a tweet on Monday, July 25, reported that the discussions are still underway between the Hammers and agent Alessandro Lucci over the last few details ahead of Scamacca’s arrival in London on Tuesday.

Lethal Striker

West Ham have been in the market to find an apt replacement for Michail Antonio who has had fitness concerns in the previous campaign which left manager David Moyes with not many options, at least at the back end of the season.

Therefore, it will be great news for the Hammers fans to see the arrival of a player like Scamacca who is a highly-rated striker in Italy, largely because of what he brings to the table not just in front of the goal but also without the ball.

He usually plays inside the box but also has the ability to come deep to help out his midfielders and wingers.

West Ham

He was one of the primary reasons for Sassuolo’s decent campaign as they finished in the 11th position in the points table with 50 points.

In 36 appearances in the Serie A last season for the club, Scamacca scored 16 times and finished in the sixth position of leading goalscorers in the league [Transfermarkt].
