Gianluca Scamacca targeted by Inter as Romelu Lukaku flops, Italian claimed to be unhappy at West Ham United
Inter are losing patience with huge-money Chelsea flop Romelu Lukaku and are eyeing West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca as a result, Calcio Mercato claim.
The former Sassuolo forward only arrived in the summer in a £35.5million move that was supposed to finally lift the burden off Michail Antonio and help push the Hammers to the next level.
But the Italian has struggled to impose himself in the Premier League, with four of his seven goals so far coming in European games.

The 24-year-old found the net in the 2-2 draw at Leeds in the previous league game on 4 January but it was his first for eight matches in the top flight.
With the club struggling as a collective and Scamacca’s form yet to take off he is reportedly “not so happy” at the London Stadium and could eye a return to Italy.
If so, Lukaku’s even greater difficulties at the San Siro, where he has only played seven times and scored just twice, look to have ended the chances of the 29-year-old recapturing his Scudetto-winning form and led the Nerrazzuri to turn their attentions to West Ham.
Unlikely
Scamacca hasn’t taken off in the way that was hoped yet, but none of the summer signings have, and nor have the established stars who took this side so far last year.
David Moyes is under pressure as a result of that, so it is frankly far more likely at this stage that the manager leaves before the big-money striker does.
Lukaku has rapidly declined since Chelsea spent £97.5million on him, but Inter could surely take a hint and look elsewhere to replace him than another expensive arrival at a London club who hasn’t yet hit the heights.

The Irons are looking to add further ammunition their strike force in the January window, in the hopes that they can rescue a floundering season.
Moyes needs to get more out of the likes of Scamacca and Lucas Paqueta, but Antonio and Jarrod Bowen have been well below their best as well.
There can’t be too many players at the London Stadium currently who are exactly “happy” about things but that surely doesn’t mean the long-awaited striker arrival, who turned down other advances to sign, is thinking of an exit already.
