Gianluca Scamacca returns to West Ham training after injury ahead of FCSB UEFA Conference League clash

West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca has been spotted in training ahead of their match against FCSB on Thursday.

The Hammers will get their UEFA Europa Conference League campaign started with a contest against the Romanian side.

Having been ruled out on the weekend, the Italy striker has now returned to the fold and is in training ahead of the game.

Via Twitter, West Ham wrote, “Good to see this man training with the squad today.”

Good news

The Hammers should not have too many problems in getting the job done on Thursday night but David Moyes would love to have all his players available.

Scamacca hasn’t quite hit the ground running and probably full 90 minutes may help him adapt quicker.

The players around him are still not used to his game and do not know when he likes making what kinds of runs.

This undoubtedly is learnt over time and the best thing the Hammers can do is play to his strengths in this contest.

Whether or not he starts is a big question as Moyes could be advised to bring him off the bench so as not to aggravate his injury.

If that’s the case, he should bring him on at half-time and at least give him a good 45 minutes against a tired opposition.

Hopefully, this will be what he needs to become a regular in the Premier League as well and he will then start to bang in goals left, right and centre like he did in Italy.
