Gianluca Scamacca may leave West Ham United due to David Moyes demands – Injury Expert

We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at West Ham...

David Moyes’ style of play at West Ham could be a major reason as to why Gianluca Scamacca wants to leave, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert watched the Italian struggle in his first season in the Premier League after his highly-anticipated move from Sassuolo.

However, he struggled to adapt to Moyes’ style of play and also battled injuries which saw Michail Antonio enjoy more time in the first team than he would’ve expected post the 24-year-old’s arrival.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said, “I always tend to give the benefit of the doubt to a player in his first season in the Premier League because there is certainly a physical and mental adaptation process.

There’s also the fact that David Moyes’ playing style which is much more reliant on the counter is much different than Scamacca is used to with heavier demands to make gruelling, bursting runs.

If there was a sale to be made, I’d think it would be more influenced by the latter than the former.

Declan Rice is already on his way out of the club and is set to join Arsenal so Scamacca’s exit would see two key players leaving in the same window.

Il Romanista reported on 7 July that the Roma chiefs have jetted into London to have further talks with the Hammers over the Italian.

The striker is said to be waiting on the clubs to reach a full agreement as he wants to leave for his home country and work under Jose Mourinho.

It’s understood that Roma appear keen on doing a loan deal and not a full transfer this summer.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers are already preparing to cash in on the Declan Rice money as they hold a transfer meeting in London as they’re confident of sealing a £50million signing.
