Gianluca Scamacca informs agent of West Ham United exit wishes, transfer could take off
Gianluca Scamacca is waiting for Juventus to make a move as the West Ham United striker looks to return to Italy, according to Calcio Mercato.
The 24-year-old has struggled for form during the 2022/23 season and has been plagued with injuries towards the back end of the campaign.
Calcio Mercato report on 28 May that his first wish is to return to Italy – a preference which he has made clear to his agents.

It’s believed that Juventus have been long-term admirers of the striker and that a move back to Italy could “take off” if West Ham were open to a loan-to-buy agreement.
All talk
West Ham would be mad to give up on their big-money signing. Yes, he’s had a really poor season but it’s first in the Premier League. He needs time to adapt. We’ve seen players develop after struggling in the early day of their careers in England.
Mo Salah and Kevin De Bruyne are superb examples. The duo looked completely lost at Chelsea and have gone on to be two of the best players the Premier League has ever seen.

Scamacca is highly unlikely to reach those heights but there’s no reason why he can’t be a 15-plus goal-a-season striker for the Hammers.
Michail Antonio is entering the latter stages of his career and could depart in the summer window. The Jamaican is now 33 and past his best years. He’s been excellent for the club but it may well be time for the striker to move on.
Scamacca will have a chance to impress next season. It’s time for the Italian to show what he can do.
