‘Gets worse with every game’ – These West Ham fans blast one player v Gillingham
There was plenty of optimism around the London Stadium on Wednesday night after David Moyes led West Ham United to victory in his first game back.
The Scot instantly got his message across to his players as they eased to a 4-0 victory over hapless Bournemouth.
However, it was a rather different state of affairs for the Hammers on Sunday as they laboured to a 2-0 win over League One Gillingham in the FA Cup.
There was nowhere near as much fluidity, creativity or cutting edge from Moyes’ players in this one, that’s for sure.
One of the players who most disappointed was midfielder Robert Snodgrass, asked to play a bit more centrally than usual with captain Mark Noble out.
However, the former Scotland international failed to replicate the consistent excellence of the skipper with a hugely lacklustre outing at the Priestfield Stadium.
The Irons supporters were quick to voice their discontent, with one going as far as to call for his replacement to be signed this month.
