Gary Neville wants Jude Bellingham over Declan Rice at Man Utd

Manchester United hero Gary Neville has claimed he would have Jude Bellingham over West Ham ace Declan Rice at Old Trafford.

The England international midfielder, 22, has been regularly linked with the Red Devils, but it remains to be seen whether they plan to make a firm move for him anytime soon.

Should Man Utd plan to go for a deep-lying midfielder, Neville is hoping they pick the Borussia Dortmund ace over the Hammers academy graduate, though.

Asked by a Stephen Fitzpatrick during a Question and Answer session on Twitter who he would choose between Bellingham and Rice if his old team had to pick one of the duo, the Sky Sports pundit replied: “Bellingham”

Great choice Nev

Neville reckons the Dortmund midfielder is a better fit for the Red Devils than Rice, and he has a right to have his opinion on the matter.

Whether that is true when the facts are brought together is a debate for another day, though, but most West Ham fans would be pleased if Man Utd drop out of the race for their player.

David Moyes clearly wants to hold on to such an influential midfielder for as long as he can, and the interest of the Old Trafford side is definitely not helping matters.

According to The Times journalist Duncan Castles, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have told the father and agent of the West Ham star Sean Rice that they want his son, and he is keen to speak with the club after they slapped an “unfair” £100million asking price on his head.

It is still a long way until next summer, but the Hammers will prefer not to lose one of their most valuable players anytime soon, and if Neville had his way, Man Utd will be looking elsewhere.
