Gary Lineker blown away by what MOTD showed Jarrod Bowen do in West Ham United win v Brighton
Gary Lineker and Ashley Williams were blown away by winger Jarrod Bowen’s goal as West Ham secured victory against Brighton on Saturday (26 August).
Speaking on Match of the Day on Saturday (41:43), host Lineker described the touch by the England international as “brilliant” as he latched onto a superb cross from Said Benrahma to score the second in the 3-1 win.
Williams was equally as impressed by the 26-year-old, with the pundit saying it was an “incredible” piece of skill from the winger at the Amex Stadium.

“What a ball, incredible touch from Bowen and a great finish,” said Williams. “That’s a superb finish from Bowen.”
Unstoppable
When Bowen is in form, there are very few fullbacks in the Premier League that would be able to stop him from having an impact on the game.
Brighton are one of the best teams around at the moment and the winger absolutely tore them to shreds and was a constant threat all day coming off the right-hand flank.
The MOTD duo are right to point out that it was an incredible piece of skill from him to pluck Benrahma’s perfectly weighted ball out of the air and calmly prod the ball home.

It doesn’t come as a surprise anymore, though, as we’ve seen him do it on so many occasions in a Hammers shirt and he just seems to keep getting better.
Just like he did in the Europa Conference League final, he is the man who turns up for us when it really counts and let’s hope he continues performing so well in claret and blue for years to come.
