Gabby Agbonlahor tells Alan Brazil if David Moyes deserves new West Ham United contract live on talkSPORT
Gabby Agbonlahor believes David Moyes 100 per cent deserves a new contract at West Ham before his deal expires in the summer.
Asked by host Alan Brazil on talkSPORT on Wednesday (3 December, 06:50am) whether the Hammers boss should be offered fresh terms, the pundit highlighted what he’s done for the club, having won the Europa Conference League last season.
He added that it “shouldn’t even be an issue” as the Irons, who drew 0-0 with Brighton on Tuesday (2 December), are fighting to get into the top six of the Premier League.

“The Hammers remain a place above the Seagulls in sixth,” said Brazil. “David [Moyes], new contract Gabby for you?”
“100 per cent,” replied Agbonlahor. “I mean, talk about what he’s done for that club, winning a trophy after so many years. Look where they are in the league now. They’re fighting to get into the top six. 100 per cent, shouldn’t even be an issue.”
Deserved
There can’t be any arguments really that Moyes doesn’t deserve a new contract after everything that he has achieved at the London Stadium over the past few years.
He’s qualified for European football in each of his three full seasons in charge and he won the Europa Conference League last season following the dramatic victory over Fiorentina in June.
The Hammers are also through to the knockout rounds of the Europa League this season after finishing top of what initially looked like a tricky group.

The point against Brighton, where the Irons were without several key players, ensured we remain sixth in the Premier League table, three points above the Seagulls and Manchester United.
While some people want to see a better brand of football in East London, you really can’t argue with the results as the Scotsman continues to prove his doubters wrong.
In other West Ham news, a Premier League manager has made a decision on a player the Hammers want to sign.
