Gabby Agbonlahor clashes with Ian Abrahams live on talkSPORT over Lucas Paqueta West Ham United price tag
Gabby Agbonlahor has clashed with Ian Abrahams live on talkSPORT over the potential transfer fee for West Ham star Lucas Paqueta.
Premier League champions Manchester City want to sign the midfielder for £60million this summer, according to Sky Sports.
The Brazil international has an £85million buy-out clause, which becomes active next summer, according to the Daily Mail (9 August).

“If he does go, West Ham need to get top dollar for him, and that means somewhere between £85million and £100milion,” Abrahams said live on talkSPORT. “That’s his buyout clause next summer.”
Agbonlahor replied: “Wow. Do you think he’s worth that? I’m not sure,” with Abrahams responding: “Of course he’s worth that. Did you not watch the last three months of the season?
Agbonlahor then noted: “So three months make it £85million? I don’t think he’s worth £85million. £60million is a good deal I think.”
Abrahams then replied: “Oh do me a favour, don’t be ridiculous. If Manchester City really want him that badly, they have got to pay what West Ham want. Pay it, or it’s not happening, simple as.”

Difficult one
It really is a difficult moment for West Ham, who have already lost one of their key players from last season in Declan Rice, who joined Arsenal earlier this summer for £105million.
Following the loss of their star man and club captain, it was seemingly inconceivable that the Hammers could lose another important player before the new season if they wanted to have any chance of success in all competitions.
But now Paqueta could follow fellow midfielder Rice out the door, in what would be a major loss for Hammers boss David Moyes.
However, like the Rice deal, the major silver lining in Paqueta’s sale would be the huge fee that he could potentially go for.
Manchester City seemingly don’t want to overpay, but they certainly have enough funds to make West Ham at least consider whatever offer they come in with, if indeed one does come in for the Brazilian.
In other West Ham news, former player Rice has reacted to Gianluca Scamacca’s exit from the London Stadium.
