Fulham submit second bid for West Ham United defender Issa Diop
Fulham have submitted yet another offer for West Ham United defender Issa Diop.
According to The Atheltic (31 July), the Cottagers have made a second bid in the region of £15 million for the French defender, after their initial offer was turned down.
The inital offer was around £12 million, which was well below the club’s asking price. West Ham still want further add-ons worth in the region of £3m to £5m.

Let him go
West Ham should let Diop leave the club this summer, and they must accept the offer from the Cottagers.
The new offer submitted looks good, and close to the club’s valuation.
Diop dropped down the pecking order at the club behind the likes of Kurt Zouma and Craig Dawson last season, and he is further expected to slip down following the arrival of Nayef Aguerd.
Now, with Aguerd currently injured, Moyes could be reluctant to let him go as he will be short of options temporarily. However, that shouldn’t be the case.

The Hammers boss will still have the likes of Dawson, Zouma, and Angelo Ogbonna before Aguerd returns to action.
Diop struggled for consistency last season, and it’s the ideal time for the Hammers to cash in on him.
The money could be used in signing a top-quality left-sided midfielder who can also play as a left back.
The Hammers also need to add another midfielder to their ranks.
