Fulham lodge second bid to sign West Ham United defender Issa Diop
Fulham have made a second bid to sign West Ham defender Issa Diop, according to Foot Mercato.
A host of French clubs have shown an interest in Diop, but it’s Fulham who are making serious attempts to sign the French defender.
The Cottagers submitted a bid of around £10m which was rejected immediately. They have come up with another offer of around £12.8m, which is close to what the Hammers expect.

As of now, no agreement has been reached. Negotiations are ongoing as the two clubs do not yet agree on the bonuses in this transfer.
Exit soon?
Diop arrived at the club four seasons ago from Toulouse and it seems his time at the club is coming to an end.
He is likely to drop down the pecking order at the club after the Hammers have signed Nayef Aguerd this summer.
At the moment, it looks like West Ham are happy with the up-front payment, but they want to strike a deal on the bonuses as well.
Diop struggled to make an impact last season, and it became very clear that David Moyes was far from impressed.

It was an injury-hit campaign for the Hammers, where they lost Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma for a lengthy on the sidelines.
The door was open for Diop to cement his position on the side. While Craig Dawson did incredibly well to earn the faith of his manager, the same can’t be said about Diop.
Lyon are interested as well, but it seems Fulham are leading the chase at the moment. Diop could be heading to another London club if everything goes smoothly.
