Flamengo want huge bid for West Ham target Gabigol
West Ham want to sign Flamengo striker Gabigol on an 18-month loan deal, but the Brazilians have rejected the proposal, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Sky Sports journalist and transfer expert has reported on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday (5 January) afternoon that the Hammers and other Premier League suitors will need to table a huge offer to have a chance of landing the 25-year-old.
The South American outfit would prefer to hold on to their hitman should no juicy deal be tabled, and it remains to be seen whether the London Stadium outfit will return with an improved permanent offer.

Romano said: “Flamengo have been very clear on Gabigol and Premier League. No way to accept 18-month loan deal discussed with West Ham days ago.
“Makes no sense to discuss/accept loan proposals.
“Brazilian club still planning to keep Gabigol – he’ll only leave for big proposal.”
Worth it?
The journalist did not mention any fee, but it could take some top dollar for West Ham to have a chance of landing Gabigol.
Transfermrkt value him at around £22million, and it could take around that or slightly more to convince Flamengo.
The Irons are being cautious about spending on a striker who flopped during his only stint in Europe – with Inter Milan.
The Brazil international has bagged 103 goals in 145 games for the Brazilian giants, but whether he can replicate that form in Europe’s biggest leagues is up for debate.
David Moyes wants a quality cover and competition for Michail Antonio, and there is no doubt he can land one in Gabigol.

West Ham will need to bring out the chequebook to get this one over the line, though.
They are clearly not the only ones keen, and others can easily beat them to his signature if they are ready to meet Flamengo’s demands.
