Felipe Anderson set for Lazio medical this weekend as West Ham exit looms

West Ham United winger Felipe Anderson will complete his medical at Lazio this weekend, according to Lazio News 24.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move back to his former club for months now after failing to make it in the Premier League.

Anderson’s nightmare spell is finally set to end, after being sent out on loan to Porto for the majority of last season.

West Ham

The Italian outlet have reported on their website that Anderson will complete his medical on Saturday.

After that is completed, the deal should be announced as early as Sunday by the Serie A side now managed by Mauricio Sarri.

The Irons will receive only £2.6million for the deal, but will pick up a 50% sell-on clause for his next move, if that even happens.

Anderson has been in Scotland for pre-season this week, but things looked to have taken a sour end for the South American.

Tom Clarke suggested that the winger had left the stadium during the friendly with Dundee today, despite being involved in the squad – that was later corrected as he just loitered around the exit.

Farewell.

The sooner this deal goes through the better.

Anderson has been nothing been underwhelming since arriving from Italy for a then club-record fee.

This could even go down as one of the worst deals we have ever done, but Jordan Hugill may forever take that crown, at least he gave us that hilarious introduction video that will never be forgotten.

After not even trying to salvage his future at the London Stadium under David Moyes, this is the best deal for all parties involved.

We were surprised to see Anderson involved on the teamsheet today, but after not featuring, it’s time to wave goodbye for good.
