Fabrizio Romano shuts down reports of Abraham inclusion in Haaland bid

Fabrizio Romano has shut down reports of Chelsea including West Ham target Tammy Abraham in the deal to sign Erling Haaland.

Recently, The Daily Mirror reported that Chelsea were looking to use the Englishman as a sweetener to tempt Borussia Dortmund to part ways with Haaland.

Abraham has been on West Ham’s radar for the past few months, and ExWHUEmployee even referred to him as David Moyes’ first-choice attacking option for the summer.

Via his personal account, the Sky Sports journalist categorically stated that the clubs are ‘not even discussing about players included in the deal’.

Buzzing

This comes as great news as a club with the pull of Dortmund are seemingly not keen on signing the Englishman this summer.

Players with high ceilings such as Abraham are often prised away by the German club and are then turned into world beaters sold for a hefty profit.

This summer is probably the cheapest we can sign the attacker for, so having one club out of the race or not as keen in their pursuit, is a major boost for us.

West Ham

We will not be able to compete with Dortmund’s financial muscle, but can still offer Abraham the opportunity to stay in London and play European football.

There’s a good chance of Moyes even building his team around the Chelsea striker should he move to the London Stadium.

As things stand, we’re probably waiting for Chelsea to lower their valuation for the striker as there’s nothing that suggests we’ve cooled our interest in him.
