Fabrizio Romano shares West Ham United ace Declan Rice bid update amid Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City links
Fabrizio Romano has shared an update on West Ham midfielder Declan Rice amid interest from Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal.
The Sky Sports journalist claims that Arsenal are poised to prepare their third and final bid for the 24-year-old after seeing the first two rejected.
Manchester City, who’ve entered the race late, are yet to substantiate their interest but are also preparing to make an offer for the England international.
Romano wrote on Twitter, “Arsenal have confirmed to West Ham their plan to submit one more bid for Declan Rice — after £75m plus £15m rejected. Understand Manchester City are also preparing their official bid — plan has not changed. Structure of deal/payment terms, key for West Ham.”
Final stages?
While Manchester United have not been mentioned by Romano, the Daily Mail reported this week that a cash + two players offer will be made for the 24-year-old.
They’re known to hijack targets of their rivals in the past and Rice is undoubtedly one of the best players on the market this summer.

They also need a new midfielder and could look to enter the race late for the Hammers star so it’s one that cannot be written off.
For City and Arsenal, right now it seems like a bidding war and it could be that one club waits for the other to table an offer and then just offer slightly more to get the deal over the line.
Rice does not seem to have a problem moving to either club and he could very well decide to move to the Etihad for the silverware.
However, at Arsenal, he could see the team being built around him and could even become the captain soon so he will be considering that too.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are already preparing to cash in on the Declan Rice money as they hold a transfer meeting in London as they’re confident of sealing a £50million signing.
