Fabrizio Romano shares personal terms update as West Ham United ace Gianluca Scamacca wanted by Roma

West Ham attacker Gianluca Scamacca has been liked with the exit door a year after joining with Roma appearing to be among the candidates.

According to Sky Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Hammers have no intention to let the Italian leave on loan this summer.

He has already agreed on personal terms with the Serie A outfit and is now expected to insist on moving to the club in the coming weeks.

Romano wrote on Twitter, “AS Roma have agreed personal terms with Gianluca Scamacca but West Ham have no intention to let him leave on loan, as things stand.”

“Scamacca will insist to join Roma, while West Ham are waiting to find clubs to buy Scamacca on permanent deal.”

Forcing the club’s hand

Scamacca is certainly forcing the Hammers’ hand here and this one looks like it’s going to be a long-drawn saga this summer.

The Italian clearly has not settled at the club and after an injury-ravaged season, perhaps has decided that the Premier League is not for him.

It also seems that the sack decision has been made on David Moyes and that could be one of the major reasons for him wanting to leave West Ham.

It remains to be seen if the Hammers give in to his demands and look to sell him this summer but it will have to be for a decent price.

They cannot make a loss on the 24-year-old as they only signed him last summer and it remains to be seen if Roma have the money to pay up front.

Funds appear to be an issue there that’s why they’re looking to do a loan for him and that should not be accepted by West Ham.
