Fabrizio Romano shares Mohammed Kudus update as West Ham United star ‘key’ to Irons’ project
West Ham United are incredibly pleased with Mohammed Kudus’ start to life at the London Stadium and believe that he will be “key” to their project, according the Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer specialist shared an update on his Twitter account (4 December) after the Ghanaian international scored his third Premier League goal of the season against Crystal Palace, suggesting the Irons are more than happy with their new signing.
Kudus has scored six times in 17 matches in all competitions for the Irons since joining from Ajax this summer and West Ham expect that the 23-year-old will only continue to get better over time in the Premier League.
As Kudus continues to improve, the Irons expect the winger to be a “key” part of their project at the London Stadium as they look to continue to develop their squad.
Some player
When Kudus arrived in East London, there was some suggestion that the winger would take some time to adapt to the English game, but that couldn’t have been further from the truth as the Ghanaian internet has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water.
The 23-year-old is impacting every game that he plays in. Against Burnley, he picked up the crucial assist for Tomas Soucek’s late winner, before he scored the Hammers’ only goal in their 1-1 draw against Palace on Sunday (3 December).
In the draw on Sunday, no player completed more dribbles than Kudus’ six, while the winger also managed to play four passes into the final third and create a single chance for his teammates. His performance was about so much more than just his goal as he was a force both in and out of possession.

Kudus won 16 duels in the match as he battled away and got more than stuck in out of possession. Alongside Jarrod Bowen who signed a new long-term deal at the London Stadium, the Irons are beginning to have several “key” players who they should build their side around in the coming seasons.
West Ham supporters should be encouraged that the Hammers appear to be so keen to keep their best players as so often teams in the Premier League are ransacked by the top six clubs. The Irons want to keep Kudus for a long time and it is clear why, given his excellent recent performances.
