Unforgettable night

It really was an unforgettable night for everyone involved with West Ham, from players and coaches to all the fans watching on.

They won’t forget this one in a hurry, with Bowen ensuring the trophy was secured in such a dramatic way with his 90th-minute winner, sending the travelling fans into delirium.

It was a top display from the Hammers, who produced a professional performance under the watchful eye of manager David Moyes, who couldn’t hide his delight at the full time whistle.

Defender Emerson also played a crucial role at the back, with the West Ham defence only slipping up in the 67th minute when Giacomo Bonaventura levelled the scores with a well-taken goal just five minutes after Benrahma’s penalty.

Emerson has found himself in and out of Moyes’s starting XI this season, but was handed regular minutes in the Europa Conference League as the Hammers enjoyed a superb European adventure.
