Fabrizio Romano issues West Ham United and Brighton bid comparison for Mohammed Kudus
West Ham and Brighton both made bids for Mohammed Kudus but Ajax only accepted the former, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Sky Sports journalist reported on Tuesday (22 August) that the Brighton bid was in fact lower than that made by the Hammers.
However, seeing the interest in the Ghana international, 23, the Dutch side upped their asking price for him.
Romano wrote on Twitter, “West Ham second bid for Kudus was also higher than Brighton’s bid sent at the beginning of the month and agreed with Ajax.
“Position changed now; it’s not enough to sell Kudus.”
Strange one
This surely will not sit too well with Kudus either as he would’ve been told that a certain price will be accepted for him this summer.
Ajax have gone back on their word and this will undoubtedly unsettle the player if he fails to get his move away from the club.
It remains to be seen if West Ham come in with another bid for the Ghanaian as they desperately need someone like him in the side.

He’s versatile and can prove to be the X-Factor signing the Hammers need to give them the edge in Europe and also guide them up the table.
After finishing in the European places two seasons in a row, they were in a relegation battle last season.
Given the money there is to be spent, it will be a travesty if they find themselves in the same position this time around.
In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open on leaving his side this summer.
