ExWHUemployee: West Ham United yet to bid for Gianluca Scamacca
West Ham are yet to lodge a bid for Italian striker Gianluca Scamacca, according to ExWHUemployee.
The reliable Hammers source wrote on his Patreon on 12 July that the Hammers are considering the Sassuolo striker as a potential alternative option to the signing of Armando Broja.
Ex suggests that the 23-year-old striker would be open to leaving Italy if any Italian club doesn’t come up with an offer.

Broja still remains the first-choice target for the Hammers, but Scamacca could come as an option if the move for the Chelsea striker fails to materialise.
Talks have been held, and that’s “hundred percent true”. However, the Hammers are working out whether the player wants to join and for what fee the Italian club would agree to a deal.
Interesting
This is really an interesting update for one of the most reliable Hammers sources.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported on 12 July that the Hammers have tabled a bid worth £33.7million to sign the striker.
Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth added on 12 July that the Hammers are in talks over the “fee and structure” of a deal. Paris Saint-Germain were interested, but they are unwilling to pay the £42.2million asking price.
It seems the Hammers would make a serious bid for Scamacca if only they fail to land Broja, but the picture will become clear in the next few days.

The Hammers, who failed to sign a striker in the past three transfer windows, will deliver a huge statement of intent if they manage to pull off the deal for the striker.
The Italy international scored 16 goals in Serie A in the 2021/22 campaign and he is seen as one of the top talents in the country.
He would provide strong competition for Michail Antonio and would add significant depth and quality to the side.
There’s no doubt that Scamacca would be a blockbuster addition to the club, but whether West Ham can land him remains to be seen.
