ExWHUemployee: West Ham United want Fulham to up bid for Issa Diop, £20m+ now wanted

West Ham United still want Fulham to up their bid for Issa Diop if they want to get a deal over the line this summer, according to ExWHUemployee.

The reliable source earlier reported that £15million plus add-ons could be accepted, but it looks as though the Irons are playing hardball as things stand.

It is shared that £20million+ is what it will take for the Hammers to accept, but Fulham have not yet met that valuation for one of their potential bigger signings of the summer.

Writing on the West Ham Way Patreon page on Thursday afternoon [07 July], Ex reported that the Irons are now holding out for that fee.

“It appears the club still want Fulham to up their bid. As we reported earlier £20m+ is roughly what we would accept,” he wrote.

“Fulham have not met that price yet.”

Pay up.

West Ham United are not exactly in a position where they need to just accept any bids.

Fulham are trying to get a deal for as cheap as possible as their summer business hasn’t exactly gotten off to the start they will have been hoping for after promotion yet again.

With the Premier League season starting earlier than usual this year due to the World Cup in Qatar, clubs are now rushing to get their business over the line quickly.

Nayef Aguerd has already been confirmed at the London Stadium, so Diop is free to leave it seems, but that doesn’t mean he will just be allowed to walk out without his valuation being met.

It’s time to put our foot down.

Either Fulham pay up with their next bid, or they can start looking elsewhere for their new defender to try and help them stay in the Premier League longer than their customary one-year stints this time around.
