ExWHUemployee: West Ham United and Hans Vanaken talks continue despite rejected bid
West Ham United are still in talks with Club Brugge for midfielder Hans Vanaken but are currently £10million apart in terms of valuation according to ExWHUemployee.
The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday 23 August that West Ham have had a £10.8million bid rejected for the 29-year-old midfielder.
Ex wrote on his Patreon page on Wednesday 24 August, that the club are growing frustrated with Club Brugge’s valuation of the attacking midfielder.

It’s also understood that talks will continue and that if an impasse is made, personal terms should be easy to finalise, with the player desperate to move to the Premier League.
Big gap in valutation
Considering that West Ham have only bid £10.8million for the Brugge midfielder, a £10million difference in valuation is quite a large amount at this stage.
This could mean that the Jupiler League side are wanting more than £20million for his services and for a 29-year-old who isn’t proven in the Premier League, that seems quite steep.
One hope for the Hammers is Vanaken’s desire to move to the Premier League, with this seemingly one of his last chances to do so.

He has been an excellent servant for Brugge over the years and has somewhat earnt a move to a Premier League side.
If the attacking midfielder doesn’t want to play for the Brugge, then they may be inclined to let him leave the club in the coming days.
This is a move that West Ham should persist with right up until the end of the transfer window.
He could add an attacking threat from midfield which could solve West Ham’s goalscoring issues at the moment.
