ExWHUemployee: West Ham have scouted Jed Wallace in the past
West Ham have scouted Millwall winger Jed Wallace in the past and are still keen on his services, claims ExWHUemployee.
Recently, Football League World reported about the Hammers’ interest and stated that the Lions are preparing a new contract for the 27-year-old.
Now, ExWHUemployee has suggested the interest still remains and that West Ham have watched him in the past.
He said, “Interesting there is a guy at Millwall, he’s 27, Jed Wallace.
“I know that we’ve watched him in the past and the fact that outlets are reporting about our interest suggests that the interest is still there.
“So that will be an interesting one because his contract is up at the end of the season.”
Worth looking into
By now, Wallace would have been made aware of West Ham’s interest in his services.
If there is a reason for him not to put pen to paper to the new deal is the fact that he could decide his own destiny next summer as he’ll be a free agent.
It would also be a profitable move for him as he would get a huge signing on bonus and also have the opportunity to play in the best league in the world.
At 27, he is unlikely to get chances like this again so he must be taking his time to think all of it through.
The Hammers must sign the English attacker at all costs as he’s a quality player who’s good enough to play in the Premier League.
He’s been labelled “sensational” by Ned Holmes of Football League World and would be a terrific acquisition to David Moyes’ side.
