ExWHUemployee: West Ham could still look to tempt Jesse Lingard despite David Ornstein update
ExWHUemployee has insisted that West Ham United could still make a move for Manchester United playmaker Jesse Lingard next month.
That’s despite David Ornstein reporting this morning (20th December) that the England international is going nowhere and is prepared to run down his current deal.
Ex admitted that despite Lingard not being “desperate” to leave Old Trafford at this stage, moves could be made to persuade him to change his mind.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, ExWHUemployee shared the update after Ornstein appeared to shut all doors.
“It’s a possible option that he was considering,” he wrote.
“I still think there will be attempts to persuade him otherwise (by us and Newcastle) and hopefully, we will succeed but I don’t think he is desperate to go now as options in the summer will be better for him.”
Desperate?
Lingard appears to have made up his mind, but could he be made to take a second look at the situation next month?
Realistically, he easily played some of the best football of his career at the London Stadium, as it looked as though he was at the end of the line.
For whatever reason, that didn’t result in a permanent move when it should have done, and now he is back to wasting away at Old Trafford.
Despite it being suggested that more options will be on the table at the end of the season once his contract expires, surely he would welcome a chance to come back to the Irons and play every week again.
If this does drag on to the summer and the Irons did try to bring him home next month, it is clear that this is only about money and has nothing to do with football.
Fingers crossed.
