ExWHUemployee: West Ham could agree termination with Winston Reid

West Ham United could come to an agreement to terminate the contract of Winston Reid this summer.

That’s according to ExWHUemployee, who has had a busy week with contracts and updates at the London Stadium.

Both Vladimir Coufal and Declan Rice have reportedly been left disappointed with contracts this week, so it may be hard to agree a termination.

A fan was left questioning the state of the squad on Saturday, and if Reid had returned from his loan spell at Brentford.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, ExWHUemployee shared the big update on the Irons legend and his future.

“He is yes but the club may come to an agreement with him,” he said.

Waving goodbye?

We knew this moment may come this summer, but it will not make it any easier to wave goodbye to one of our modern legends.

Reid has been through it all at Upton Park and the London Stadium, and at least he could still remain in the Premier League.

The New Zealander helped Brentford to the top flight for the first time in the modern era at Wembley last month, and no doubt Thomas Frank would surely want to keep that experience around.

Having captained the Hammers for years, Reid knows what it takes to succeed in the Premier League.

Should he seal his exit, we would love to see a testimonial handed to him for his achievements at the club, whether now or after he retires.

A move to Brentford would allow us to see him twice next season, although it is down to the player himself and David Moyes.
